has anyone here heard those nasty little pink floyd covers that nu metal bands are doing now days? they take a great song and make it into an ear ache...i heard on...i believe SNL...this disco group remake comfortably numb...it really brought me down...and then with korn and their another brick in the wall part 2...its terrible man...

what do you guys think on remaking and covering songs, and making them sound totally different?

sucks......should be a crime, punishable by having to listen to Barry Manilow albums 24/7 or 30 days for the first offense, 90 days of watching American Idol non-stop for the second offense, and on the third offense they should get life and have to watch reruns of Hee-Haw with the possibility of parole after 10 years.......yea...

I dont know, some covers are priceless. Alot of them are just god aweful.
But you want some amazing pink floyd covers get some Primus, they go all out.

Like when my friend Joe plays Dress rehersal rag, its amazing.

But the new cool is yesterdays out of touch which is tommorrows green, which was last years orange, which was falls blue.

Pink Floyd had original, yet simple cover's, it's easy to copy them. Don't blame other bands, blame mathematicians for not creating more shapes.

I saw a movie recently in which part of the soundtrack was a band doing a cover of Pink Floyd's Money. Basically, it was crap. Unoriginal and brought nothing new to the table; it was pretty much exactly the same except with stupid sounding guitars and a crap lead vocal.
