Dark leaf spots
I've seen pictures of these spots (or at least what I think this looks like) and If I remember it was either mold or a deficiency. Any help?
Also, is it normal for leaves that are touching the dirt to begin turning yellow at point of contact? About a week later the entire leaf becomes yellow/brown with a purpleish looking stem. They eventually fall off after a few days of gently tugging on them.
3rd pic is an example of this (with black spots).
4th pic is the end result.stickygreenlightsabr Reviewed by stickygreenlightsabr on . your plants look good.. they are definitley not getting all the nutrients that they could be getting.. either not enough nutrients in the soil or the PH isn't right.. but the plant/s looks good and stable..
Lower leaves turn yellow and die for a variety of reasons.. most of which are not worth dealing with.. most common is the leaf is just not getting enough light.. to many leaves covering it...
look into a thick bush... a bush outside, under the sun,...
it can be 5 feet thick, but only the outer one inch is green and leafy.. if you look into the bush it is dark and nothing but a bunch of sticks.. no light, no love, no growth...
to fully assess your plant I need a wider shot and a shot of the stem.. is the stem red at all?
smb
: )
and now you KNOW!!!!!

I watered with 2 teaspoons of epsom salt to a gallon of water. Will see if this helps in several days.

This looks like toxic salts buildup to me.
If you use RO water you do need to add CalMag Plus to put back minerals the RO process removes.

why do you say that zandor.. 'cause the top leaves are so small?
or at least not bigger than the older lower growth...
