    well it depends..

the obvious draw backs of revegging is that the female will grow stress induced male balls, ultimately (depending on how much you've cut it back) will regrow as a hermie. now, this isn't always a bad thing.. as stress induced male flowers can be picked off and even with a few male flowers the seed count will not be large.

Growing re-vegged plants with new plants is.. obviously not a great idea.. as any male flowers will pollenate any other females that you have around.

I think we need more info on your intentions... are you talking about revegging a plant that you've just harvested? or putting a plant that is in 12/12 back into 18/6

    The do's and don't's of re-veg???

Thanks for the quick response BobBong....
my few plants were vandalized by thieves about two weeks from harvest. Most of them were pretty much destroyed as they just pulled what buds they could get off the plants , knocking them all over and mangling most of them. I harvested what was left which wasn't much and managed to revive a couple so I trimmed them back and have been considering re vegging the survivors if it is at all plausible and if it could save me any time. Its either that or start over from seed which a friend has given me to get going again.

    Any input is appreciated, thanks
    Bill

    The do's and don't's of re-veg???

I did it with a shive plant I had. was pure experimentation, but cut it back, left some of the older and smalller flower heads. After a few days back on 18/6 and on a veg feed new shoots came up from the old bud sites.

The finlas results was ok, not as good as the fisrt yeild in regards to quantity and quality, but not bad

    The do's and don't's of re-veg???

I am also going to try to re-veg my one and only plant which I just harvested from today. I am flushing it now with water only to try to get rid of any possible salts buildup that may have ocurred from using SuperBloom. Then its back to 18/6.

I am growing in soil but hope that my baby recovers exough for me to get 2 or 3 clones for a hydro grow. Want to try LST/Scrog this time out. My last grow was in just 2 cubic feet of space and just one plant using scrog and only one 42watt CLF for both veg and flowering. Results were, of course, not spectacular but I did get some bud which is drying now.(the buds filled up a normal size paper plate) I think I did pretty good considering the extremely small space I used (1'x1'x2' high).

    The do's and don't's of re-veg???

Bill, my heart goes out to you. At least the assault on my plants was self induced. :-)
Any way, it will be interesting to see how we all do, as i can see by my re-gen thread I'm trying this technique for the first time too.
Thanks to you all who have contributed your tips, every bit helps.

Thanks for your post, guess we will just have to give the re-veg thing a go and see what comes of it, aye?

    Any further information is welcomed

    Thanks again
