Why can't anybody pronounce my name right?

My last name is the same as a known first name with an extra "i", so everybody uses the "common" (but wrong) name.. sometimes they even mix it up, with using this as my first name

and hardly anybody pronounces it right either, but well, i don't care about this anymore..

I call others, that make this "fault" by different names on purpose as well.
"Hi John!" "but my name's Jack" "yeah, mine name's different as well, but who cares?"
