Put flowering plants back into veg?

If you have flowering plants in soil (3 weeks into 12/12) that got burned fairly bad by overfert-ing, can they be put back into veg -- to get healthy again for a month before starting to flower (again)? Has anybody done this?
They got burned at the end of veg period, I thought they'd recover in a couple weeks (after a thourogh flushing). But 3 weeks later, they're hardly any bigger, are obviously stunted, aren't going to be worth finishing like this.
If they went back into veg now, say for 4 weeks (2 weeks to start vegging again and 2 weeks of veg time), would they still flower normally? Also I figured they'd have a really developed root system by then, good for flowering. And they're fairly big, would probably veg well.
Is this a recipe for disaster, malformed buds that won't grow/set properly?

    Any help welcome

Dont reveg them, that will do more harm than good, leave them on photoperiod(12-12)and when new growth appears give them a mild dose of bloom fert, giving them more as they start to recover and regain vigor, the buds will take a little longer to develop,if the root system is strong they will resume normal growing in time....bonbon
