wow its been an extremely long time since ive been here......heres my story...I got caught by my parents with an 8th and i got in alot of trouble that was a while ago. then i started getting into christianity and ive been doing pretty well with that except ive been getting really bad urges to smoke lately and im thinking about doing it again but my problem is one thing.....i know what all of you will say (dude what is there to think about just smoke) but still i wanna get a real opinion what would you do if you were in my situation? I want to be a good christian but everyone says smoking weed is a sin and stuff but i really dont think it is, it does say in the bible that god gave every seed bearing herb to man as meat but does that only mean its ok to eat it? even so i would have no problem makin some brownies and munching them down exept the fact that even though your eating it isnt it still a sin because your intention was to get high not to use it for nutrition? please some body give me some feedback cuz i really am confused here peace

It's just fucking weed, it's just a book of lies, it's just a pie in the sky.
Go out & buy some weed & smoke it. You only turned to Christianity in desperation, now stop being so desperate & go smoke a bit! or a lot!
Why the hell do you want to be a good christian? So people can walk all over you, control you & know that you really are that weak?

Only weak people need religion, get over it & smoke.

But no, marijuana is not even against the bible. They say that Solomon and David both grew tons of weed, and even had massive imports of weed from nearby countries. Weed is only "bad" because the government said so.

I'm not religious anyways, I find that religion is important in the world as a whole because so many narrowminded, weak people need religion to keep on living (no offense to all you non-narrow minded, weak christians out there). In any case, no, smoking the buddah will not earn you a one-way-ticket to hell. When will people learn? Non-sentient things cannot by "good" or "evil." It's like saying that a chair is evil. It just does not make sense ...

Let go of Christianity if you want to live a full life. Learn to think and read for yourself. Learn to read the Bible critically, realize that the Bible is not meant to be taken literally but metaphorically (i.e. what happened in the Bible is not "fact" but mythology, similar to Greek, Roman mythology).

I don't care if you never smoke another joint in your life, as long as you let go of Christianity now, while you're still young and not too attached to it. Begin to question what you read, just think about things on your own, and you will realize how much of a sham it is.

I am a Christian. (Those of you that like to Bash can kiss my ass.) I Toke. Take what works for you from teachings, read for yourself. Smoking a J is no worse than having a drink, or taking prescription meds. The only advise I will offer, (take it or leave it as you wish), is to try to be respectful to those around you and not do it in their faces. You are the only one that can decide what you want to do in your life, you have free will to make your own choices. Christian teachings are no differant than any other. It's all school. Just as if you were taking a class on history, not everything is there. There are always other matierials to study and decide your own beliefs for yourself.
Think of this? In history class they give you one view of past world events, dig a little deeper on your own and you find other views of the same events. Whatever life holds for you I truelly wish you well. And I don't care if that includes Christianity, Buddhism or Agnostisism. I just hope you have a great life.
