I'm getting close to 3 months into my second grow. I've learned a lot and now know growing will be a hobby of mine for life. My dad was a farmer and has seen under my house. He's a proud father My parents I can trust. My mom visits sites often just to see the pretty flowers. She was growing a plant outside, but I told her I'd make her some cookies from my grow...

I won't be posting any pictures, so you'll just have to take my word on this.
At present I have 6 plants - 5 Germination on July 1 and a seed of medical herb started on Aug. 7

Light on 24/0
Space - 9' X 5' by 10' high.
Lights - 2 400 watt hps and 1 4' duel flourescent total of 880 watts producing about 112,000 Lumens.
Each plant is grown in a their own 5 gal. container
Vented for heat for the upcoming winter
24 hour fan on for strong stems and health

Am I clumsy, or lucky? I found 5 babies growing 3 feet outside the space yesterday. I've read that seeds started in the dirt is the healtyest way to start so I got a shovel and put them in a new 5 gal. container.

I use 1/4 teaspoon per gal. of Superthrive and 1/4 teaspoon per gallon of 10-10-10 every time I add water. Last grow they responded well to this, and changed to 15-30-15 when they entered flowering.

Just now starting to see the tiny white hairs on the taller strain of 3 plants.
My 2 lovely bushes are growing like crazy, but no sex signs yet, except some tiny pods growing in the node areas...

I wouldnt use any nutes on the new germination....at least until 10 days or so once they poke out of the soil.

Make sure you tell us how fast they grow. I wanan know how fast those natural growers grow. That's SO lucky you found those...wow.

After 3 1/2 months of 24/0 I went to 12/12. Now the waiting game begins... I can't leave town till I'm certain no males of hermes pop out! The plants are all healthy and thriving. Biggest plant is almost 4 feet high, by 3 feet across. My one medical herb plant must have just gotten stunted..... It's only a little over a foot tall after 2 months!

The 5 babies that sprung up are doing nicely, a bit slow it seems on growing so far... About 1 inch leaves on them now and seem to like their big (hopefully) sisters.

I think I'll start singing to them

Oh my I did it again and I don't know how to delete it so you can chalk it up to testament that my first homegrown used in a vaporizor does have quite a nice kick to it.

Completely Stoned, thanks for taking an interest in the "stray" growing progress. They are currently coming along at 6 inches and looking very hearty. I need to move them closer in to get them out of the corner.

I was pleasently surprised to see all of the plants today at about day 10 of 12/12. They all have nice flower formations on the ends of all the stalks. My best beauty is now called "Betty Boop." She has (fingers crossed it's like me) over 30 stalks which form into a nice bush. It's a good feeling getting to dip into the 15-30-15 Miricle Grow. I used it last time and all turned out well as far as potency levels go. I'm really looking forward to comparing the differences between the current light system and space vs my poor old light system and cramped space.

The one plant that is medical cannabis is a funny little nut. Apparently it fancies itself as a "runt." It's over two months old and only a foot high... It's stems are mostly red tinted - (all the rest in the room are nice and green for the most part with none of them having the red tinted stems.)It likes to believe it's a lime/yelley plant. It's showing signs of early sexing. I'm just going to let it grow and reveg it along with the others.

Thank goodness I finally got 2 sensi plants going that are now 4 and a half months old and one sensi of medical strain at 3 months:dance:

It seems to have helped a lot to keep it 24/0 until they started showing their sex as they are full of flowers... The three bigger plants have about 150 flowers on each lady. I'm guessing at this time they are about 8 oz. of sensi bud and 3 oz. of seeded bud. I can't wait to find out how much they fill out and yield in dry weight.

What I've learned in the past month.

I missed one day of not checking soon after going to 12/12
Found a few pollen sacks that had opened. I spent 2 hours carefully cutting down two males with the fan OFF to prevent further spread of pollen.

Then I waited for the worst... I got real lucky!
The pollen spread to the middle of one plant and got it good. The other three are all sensi now...

The one medical plant I have is getting a nice skunk smell from the flowers and is getting purple leaves now.

The other two started growing a condition I couldn't figure out... I knew I had read about it some where. I found it in my Marijuana Grow Bible... It talked of small yellow banana shaped things growing out of some of the flowers... It stated it was sensi trying one last ditch effort to pollenate itself. It went on to say they weren't usually viable to pollenate it, but to snip them off just in case.

At present I'm thrilled to have 3 sensi plants going... The weird thing is the plant that got pollenated in the middle still has a sensi bud growing from the top flower down about a foot....

I let the stray ones go, then replated a few as I thought all 4 had gone to seed. My current plan is to reveg these 1 or 2 more times...

I saved the pollen from the Mexican Red Hair and hope to pollenate the medical one to start a new strain.

Time sure drags when waiting for the Sinse to be ready for harvest. Sorry, I'd love show pics of my grow space and ladies in waiting, but I don't know how to attach them here
All four are sinse! I pulled about 150 seeds off one plant that accidently got pollinated. They have been on 12/12 now for about 7 weeks. The cola buds just keep getting bigger, which is great, but I'm anxious to try the end result. I did get to sample a bud about a week ago that I accidently cut off when trying to cut off half the leaves that were blocking the bud from light. I was very happy with the high

The medical one has leaves that are turning purple. I'm confused as to when they will be finished... Aside from the medical plant, I believe I have 2 different strains of Mexican Red Hair. One of the Mexican strains has white hairs all over the buds, the other two Mexican plants have hairs that are turning dark red.

My confusion begins in trying to establish when they will be done. I know about waiting for the trichomes to turn amber... But, is that when they turn amber to the eye with a magnifying glass or my microscope? Also, I've read to wait till the bud has turned about 3/4th. in color. Is that the leaves and all the goodies of the entire bud or just the hairs?

I'm guessing they are about 4 more weeks away from being done... I don't want to under or over grow them

Three of the four plants were started on July 1 and grown at 24/24 for about 3 months.
