I have a friend whose retail source for weed was for the most part a wholesaler who had the area locked up supply-wise. He was unmistakably ignored (tolerated) by local LE, both town, county, who were more practical than mickey mouse. His source successfully ran a completely unrelated commnunity business. LE regularly patronized the biz with no ulterior interest or motive to bust him. It was a quiet, crime free small town and he didn't sell to kids. He didn't sell other shit. And he treated buyers fairly.

These days I think all ya gutta do is put up enough layers of defense so you it doesn't look like you are daring them to investigate you.
