It's Patient-Doctor confidentiality. I think you have it mixed up with code of silence. I know this is an old thread but I am willing to bet the OP was on Accutane for acne, making him probably under 18. If you are under 18 there are times when the doctor can tell the parents confidential info.

Does Patient-Doctor confidentiality hold up. Yes in most cases because violating this is a huge HIPPA violation as well as other violations against healthcare providers.Serenity now, Insanity later...
Get a home drug test if you want to know for sure if you can pass a drug test. Drinking lots of water for days and days before the test will not help you get clean quicker. All that water will not make your kidneys work better.
