clones from indoor to outdoor

Hey dudes I got some clones from a friend and they were under lights for 16 hrs.He said they would be fine to put outside so I did and now they're starting to bud.My question is this will they go back into veg stage or what?This doesn't make sense to me as the light hrs outside right now are 16 hrs.What ya think?Heres a couple of picks how much will this get on them?

they're probably just preflowers not buds.But that all depends on were you are on the planet?(light cycle)(sun)

Sorry, I have got no answer but another related question. I've got a few plants in buckets outside, and i would like to put them in soil but only the females. Is it a good way to put them under lights 12/12 to determine the sex and then to put back outdoor where they will return to veg state untill mid august ?

sometimes it's best to leave mother nature alone and let her do most of the growing ..just to be on the safe side you know
