Facts Straight on Cannabutter?

okay ive been lookin around here for a while on cannubutter, and everyone has their on ways and says dont do one thing and someone else says do it i am very confused. i know is that you put the butter in a pan to fry or a pot i guess, and simmer on low with the bud in there. people have their own amounts of butter and weed, and time to simmer? which brings me to one question? what way is the right way?? like all i want is enought butter to sandwich between a pb and j sandwich or two sandwiches. can someone help meh out? thanks
