newbie and storing weed

this is my first post here and here it goes. i just bought a couple of ounces and this will be my frist time storing it. usualy me and bunch of people will buy and smoke right away. now i know you can smoke it wet, dry, particly dry, etc everyone has different opinions, and i prever not wet but not dry myself. now i have to leave town for a bit with my folks and don't wanna take it with me so how should i keep it. its right now in a zip lock bag inside an air tight jar will this keep the mold and what not off it ? oh and its in my room were the temp is around 18degree's C. hopefully you guys and gals can help me out thxs indvance

yea itll be fine....when i stopped smokng i had some buds left for when i start it was some sick bud...but i smoked it 31 days later plsu it was like a few days in my hands before i stopped..so it was a good while...but i smoked it and it was fine after that long and it wa only in a bag.......not even a jar so it should be fine

If you find that it's a little too dry for you, stick some orange or lemon peels in the ziploc bag with the weed and leave it for a day or two. That will moisten it back up and also give it a citrus taste and smell.

orange peels make it weigh more....thats a good thing for drug dealers but you wouldnt wnt to do it to your own weed...plus a lot of the chrytals get stuk to the peel s(done it many times)

The temperature won't affect it, unless it's on fire. Keep the Zip-loc bag inside of another bag, while you're gone.

If you can vacuum seal it, that would be ideal.

you should get a glass jar, clear it out and then put your nuggets in the jar along with some fresh pot leaves (if availible). That always works for me

If you can I'd suggest getting one of these foodsaver vacuum sealers. I've had buds stored that way for a year and when you open the bag up they're just as good as the day you got them. Probably not worth it for an 1/8 or a 1/4 but since you've got a couple of ounces its worth protecting your investment.
