Dirt and 400w MH set on 18/6 or better 24/0 will keep mom in check. The problem with only using 18/6 for a mother is auto flower some strains will trigger flowers at (X) age and only 24/0 will keep auto flower in check.

Second problem is (not really a big problem in the end) Mothers can get huge. Like After about a year mother can and will grow to the size of a KBS grow. One plant that is 7' tall and 5' a cross is huge the girth will be better then 15'. You flower her after about a year if she gets to big. That will give you plenty of time to find and grow another Mother.
Zandor Reviewed by Zandor on . Cuttings - before signs of sex. Ok here's a quick question where I can't find any info on. If you take clones before the plant shows signs of sex, and the mother plant turns out to be say, female, after you've taken cuttings, will this mean the clones are definatly going to be female? Or could they be male. Cheers, Reg Rating: 5
