You guys know that the Bible is a rip-off.. right? The story of Noah, Job...The stories of Peter.. all that shit is NOT original. there are historical documentation that pre-dates the bible, into Sumarian time.

the bible and other holy books are different interperatations of the world around them, so what the fuck, i don't think it's a rip off so much as it is different cultures documenting things at different times as written word, culture and society evolved.

also, just because the church and fucking hypocrites piss you off and attack your beliefs, doesn't justify your belligerence when someone says something you don't agree with

The bible is supposed to be "divinely inspired" is it not? Nothing divine about re-writing old texts... in my opinion... i'm not saying the shit didn't happen. It obviously did. there's many..MANY different accounts though.. so how can anyone in thier right mind say "thiers is the TRUE word of 'god'". why can't you look at the historical facts instead of the fairy tale that surrounds it? Was the Movie Titanic real? No.. it was based on facts of events that actually happened.

Surely you can't truely believe in one thing in this day and age. you have to believe in the search for the truth, not what somebody else is going to tell us IS the truth. Religions are nothing more than social groups. Like us stoners.

i know, i feel exactly the same way about that. i believe in it because i get a strong feeling and connection to God and my spiritual life through that, and i think the fact that despite how far-fetched it is to believe something and it's still strong enough for me to believe that there's something in it that hits me stronger.

i don't down anyone for what they believe, i don't believe that others are wrong and all that other stuff, anyway, why couldn't God appear to different people in different cultures in different forms. it's so much more multi-dimensional than the majority of people see, but hopefully someone else can see a little bit of where i'm coming from.
