The best natural herb to give patients in pain?
Heroin is derived from morphine which is a constituent of raw opium latex but it would be inappropriate to call opium the main ingredient of heroin. It is more like wine to hard liquor, opium is to wine as morphine is to 151. For anybody in pain the opiates/opioids are your safest, most effective option as they have been for centuries. It would work out better to have them prescribed to you though since it would probably take at least several dozen poppy plants to yield enough opium for year-round personal pain treatment.
Marijuana can also be used with opioids for increased analgesia.Nullific Reviewed by Nullific on . The best natural herb to give patients in pain? Hi, I am an RN and new here. I wasn't a believer in alternative meds until my skin cancer was treated from a black salve. I also went to see a doctor who is a holistic physician and has helped me a lot. Anyway, what is the safest thing to give patients in pain. I don't smoke myself, but I think it's appropriate for those who need it. If I am on the wrong board and don't belong here, please let me know :) Rating: 5
