The most realistic dreams I have are lucid dreams, though it may just be that when I'm lucid dreaming I realize how realistic dreams are. The most recent one took place outside my middle school at recess, where I was talking to somebody I went to middle school with. After realizing that I graduated middle school many years ago, I figured out it was a dream. I then looked around me and stood in astonishment since all the hundreds of carefully-constructed human figures around me must have all been products of my fertile imagination. Every leaf on every tree, every brick in the building, every imperfection on the concrete below me was being put together instantaneously and relayed to my mind's eye so faithfully that the only way I could tell I was dreaming was because I was obviously not in middle school anymore, and I had the new ability to change anything in my environment as I pleased. After I got over the shock of that, I tried to have some lucid dream sex but woke up before I could. It was still really neat though.
