Sorry, but the commercials for the show look stupid. Is his accent fake? Is there anything more cheesy than a fake southern accent? I'm looking forward to the CSI season premier tomorrow night. I can't wait!

I thought that it was funny in parts, but I'm not a big fan of red-neck comedy (Jeff Foxworthy types).

On the other hand, I'm a big fan of "The Office" which follows "Earl" .

I didnt think he had an accent, it sounded like the way Jason Lee has always talked. I could be wrong though, he might have added a little twang in there that I didnt pick up on. But I really lilke the way he talks, always have since the first time I saw him in Chasing Amy. His voice is very distinctive.

Anyway, the show imo was very funny and different, Im kinda sad that you weren't willing to give it a chance. But to each his own - enjoy CSI!

Im sure its no surprise that I completely disagree. Jason Lee and Jamie Presley I think are 2 extremely talented actors who have a knack for knowing whats funny. Jamie Presley gets type-casted often as poor white trash, but she really does the character so well and is so funny doing it, I dont think anyone could do the part better or funnier than she can.
Im not sure how the trailors were able to affect your opinion of the writing to such a strong absolute, I just hope you might be able to soften your first impression from the trailors just once and give the show a chance, because its often quite difficult for people to take such a strong opinion as valid when one hasn't even seen the show. Plus, you may even enjoy it if you allow yourself room to. Or you may prove yourself right. Whatever the case, seeing the show and then having an opinion is much easier for me then to understand, accept and respect your opinion.

Do any of you watch CSI Las Vegas? It is by far my favorite television show. It's just one of those shows that sucks you in, you know? Fantastic music, as well, they really should have CSI soundtracks available on cd. Last year's season finale was 2 hours long, directed by Quentin Tarantino and it was awesome! What a way to end the season.
