well, i use miracle grow ferts (never use their soil tho) and have pics posted to prove how well m.g. works...outdoors anyway. i use fox farms or other weaker strength fert for indoors.

anyway, your plants are looking good but still needs more time. the top pic looks close to what a ripe flower does but all of them should be thick and firm like that one. the last pic looks like they have some filling left to do too. plus being sativa (which the thinner leaves does give it at least a sativa-dom major possibilty) it's too early for harvest. the c99's i have coming in are well known for being a short flowering sativa but they still have a couple weeks left while the neville's haze is looking like it won't be ready before thanksgiving, which is more the norm for sativa's...harvest anywhere between nov to mid-dec...seen some go until x-mas too! now yours don't look like they'll be that extreme but if they were mine i'd still not count on bringing them in until mid-oct...maybe as late as halloween...just going by what i see in your pics. they will fill in more! you sound like you already know the basics for harvest time but i also use a little heard of 'trick' of paying close attention to their growth once the trich's turn cloudy and when no growth is noticed for a week, they're ready. but all your tops should look like that first pic (but with more colors) when it's closer to pickin time...

patience is hard at this time of year and if absolutely necessary, a 'broken branch' does happen every now and then and makes for a good preview if dried properly. for a quick dry while still preserving most of the flavor i hang a small branch inside a paper sack (hung inside so plant doesn't touch paper) then put into a closet. in about 36-48 hours the outter surfaces will be smokable and it'll be close to your end product altho a greener taste and probably on the hot n harsh side...but it sure beats oven drying or nuking!

oh yeah...get a 10x magnifying glass! they're cheap (like 12-15 bucks) and takes a lot of the guesswork out of it. 20x is a bit much and anything bigger is hard to operate without hands of stone to keep it steady. a 10x is perfect and most come with a 15x or 20x on the opposite end anyway. i got mine at ebay and paid 22 bucks total with express shipping.
