I'm not sure what I believe about that, not sure if people stayed there for that purpose, or they were just to poor to get out, and had the opportunity to take things.
As long as they stopped, we'll be OK. But, poor New Orleans. As of 2:42, there's still two dangerous thunderstorm cells over it.

if i l ived there yea id take food, clothes..things i needed to survive but electronics?

I saw on guy walk behind an MS-NBC camera with about six boxes of sneakers! This was in the 20% of New Orleans that wasn't under water.
