Glad to hear you have doughts about O'Reilly, I like you more every day! But isn't Iraq soveriegn now?, free to arrest who they see fit? Don't get me wrong, the brits should have got their guys out, we damn sure would have, but it makes me wonder if this "soverienty" isn't a false creation, to appease the arab world.

The Iraq police were ordered by their own ministry of interior and other government departments to release the prisoners, they refused to do so ignoring commands from superiors. The police were believed to be working with terrorist and insurgent forces, this coming after the chief of police in iraq said he only trusted a 1/4 of his men.
The Iraqi police then continued to hand over the prisoners to a radical militia with weapons, the brigadier on the ground then decided that he must take action to save the soldiers life's.
A British light armoured warrior drove through the police wall and the iraqi's were then convinced to tell them where the prisoners were taken as above said this may have been helped by a 30mm Rarden cannnon.
The British then sent a rescue team to the location (a house in Basra) the men were successfully recovered. Both men were from 22 SAS the British army's elite special forces (believed by a great majority who have an unbiased view to be the worlds best trained force anywhere in the world.)

1/4 of his men are trustworthy? Probably accurate, but it does not bode well for the future.

spin away boys...spin away....
cmon...how could you not see it?
two british guys dressed as arabs have a car packed full of explosives...they obviously must have had some super duper secret mission to be firing at police and not identifying themselves.
and it must have been extra super double duper secret if the army has to send forces to "rescue" them.
what were they doing? performing drills in the even of a suicide bombing taking place in iraq? give me a break.
stop making excuses and admit that they were carrying out another staged event in order to continue the lucrative and profitable instability...they were caught red-handed.
next you'll be saying the five israelis were dancing on 9/11 because they were listening to their new ipods at the time...geesh.
