thinking about Galveston,my childhood home being completely destroyed is very sad.

fuck it's going to be bad. My local news channel is doing computer anitmated video of what the coastline will you look like. It's not good looking, the whole coast line, the entire cities will be flooded beyond anything. This is the third strongest hurricane on record.

It does, at least, look like local government is taking it serious this time and FEMA is waiting with the needed supplies. Sure hope this doesn't get ugly!!

No, I don't live down there but all my best wishes goes out to the fine people of Texas!!! I've just been keeping a close eye on the news and seeing that local governments are taking this far more seriously than N.O. did.

I REALLY feel sorry for the people from N.O. that were relocated there....it's like their hurricane magnets. Can't even imagine what it would be like. Loose everything you own, shipped off to another state living in a shelter to be wisked off again because of another catagory 5.

The major question I have is this; what are we going to do with all these displaced people? New Orleans, Galveston, maybe Houston. DAMN!!!
