    Paypal BEWARE!!

Has anyone read the article about paypal in the aug/sept. 05 issue of cannabis culture. Well to summarize it. Paypal is on e-commerce websites of people selling bongs, seeds, scales, grow equipment, and cultivation books. Paypal claims to be safe, easy, and effective. Well it isn't, "Paypal is a corporate volunteer in the war on drugs and free speech." Paypal freezes the accounts of sellers of the above websites and holds thousands of dollars that you are paying them for there products. Why, because they think that they are right and we are wrong. "Paypal sees themselves as a quasi-law enforcement regulatory agency." They admit to being an information gathering sorce for the police. Therefore they have all the sellers and the buyers information. They keep track of anything and everything you buy and anything they think is unlawful whether it is or not they will shut you down and report any gathered information to the authorities. Paypal takes voluntary action against marijuana related sites and individuals who visit them. Don't use paypal. Also a thing to consider, Paypals parent company, EBay. Send money orders, wire money, use western union, send a check, or "send an ounce of gold if you have to. Just don't use Paypal. They're fucking narks!"

If you can read the article there is a lot of other information that i left out.

    Paypal BEWARE!!

    Hey Bongsmith,

You couldn't be more correct. PayPal (or fuckpal as I like to say) can, and will suspend your account at any time, for *any* reason they see fit. If you doubt this, I would suggest doing some research on your own, or vist www.paypalsucks.com for starters. PayPal is notorious for holding onto peoples money for very odd, arcane reasons. You have no right to appeal, and the phone monkeys in their callcenter are also no help at all. One time I lost $400 I sent to someone in error (to the wrong email address) and didn't get it back for 3 months because PP said it was my fault for not checking to see if the recipient was verified, or not.

The bottom line is that even if you are using PayPal for anything "legitimate", you should still be wary. Another issue with PP is that the sender can issue a dispute, and many times hold on to your money- AND your product unless you can provide sufficient documentation that you are "in the right".

As bongsmith says above, there are much better choices to pay someone- wire, western union, or even eGold which is very secure and reletively anonymous!

    Paypal BEWARE!!

fuck paypal is right... i am a seller and buyer on ebay and i had an old account under my moms name. When i started selling lots i wanted this money to go directly to my account so i set up my checking account to this. They somehow found i had changed some of this info to my name and i am under 18. They suspended my account with $600 in it for 180 days. Just for me being under 18 and having the money i made go to my account. i was 15 at the time and to be out $600 was a huge deal. I made numerous emails asking for a type of withdrawl but no help was provided. Why can't a successful minor have the same privlages on paypal as others?

    Paypal BEWARE!!

cuz if THEY get caught letting someone under 18 using their financial services, they can get in huge trouble and lose a lot more than 600 dollars.
