Mirrors on the walls? Good idea or bad idea?
Hello everyone...
SETUP (planned setup, that is): Closet cabinet with a hydro NFT system. 36"x20"
Can I hang mirrors on the walls of the cabinet? Is there a reason not to do so? Are there any improvements over Mylar? Over aluminum foil? Over white paint?
Thanks for your help !

mirror = bad.
test:
1 sheet of white mica board
1 sheet of tinfoil
1 Mirror
left out in forida's sun around 93*f .. few hours later, pick up objects.
Tinfoil, a bit warm, not bad.
White gloss mica... feels nice, not warm, not cold either
mirror... way fucking hot..
theory, mirror/glass absorbs light.

Yes mirrors absorb light, mirrors are bad.. If you want something cheap go to SPRAWL-MART and go to hunting section and ask for Thermal Blankets they are $2.00 apiece, and they are very refective.. Tin foil will work, but it gets all crinkly and crap and tears very easily (EVEN THE HEAVY DUTY)..

Mirrors have many hot spots it's best to avoid those. Remember when you were a kid and played with the magnifying glass in the cracker jacks box and you burned leaves and ants?
Same thing will happen to your plants if you use Foil or mirror.

the best surface to have is a flat white surface...white reflects all of the light's energy

Foil and Mirrors=Bad Idea
Use Mylar (2 Millimeter), Foylon or Sunleaves Ultraflect if you want good results. If you bought a good grow light kit why waste your money wasting light?
