Hurricanes aren't one giant cloud, it's a collection of clouds and thunderstorms. Think of it this way, when you're in the shower, and you empty the last of the bath down the drain, the water spins around, the closer it gets to the drain the faster is spins, well the eye of the hurricane is the drain, so the closer the clouds are to the center, the faster they spin, which is partly why the eyewall is so dangerous. Also, hurricanes spawn tornados all the time. Those are definetly from a hurricane, i have pictures similar to those cloud formations, but from hurricane isabel.
