Check into jimi-hendrix.com, they have albums released by the Hendrix family, within the last ten years, also, there they have Dagger Records that has live shows and bootlegs that are uncut. Many of his live performances were edited until His family took over control of all his royalties and started having Jimi's engineer work on his tapes. If it's not Experience Hendrix, LTD., the chances are it isn't as good as it can be. I know you're listening to their remake of that other Hendrix compilation (I had it but forgot the name of it), but that's just studio. His live performances are phenomenal, but I only want people to watch those released by the Hendrix family (Experience Hendrix, LTD.) because those are the ones that show his true self.
