Lights Blowing Out - Help! Before I Die...

Hi,

I've a bit of a problem with my 125w envirolight system. I came home one day and the light had blown out. The actual bit that you screw into the socket had nearly blown off from the actual bulb altogether. I took it out, cleaned the socket & then got another light. When I plugged it in, it lit for a fraction of a second, and then blew out.
I've checked the cables etc, and I don't know what it is as everything looks ok, but it's just weird that it on keeps happening.

Any thoughts on this? I don't want to end up a on a slab if the electrics are not right, but I haven't had this type of trouble before. Maybe I just got a bad light. Do you think I'm panicing over nothing?

Send the light back and demand a refund!!!

Didn't really have to. I emailed the guy & he's replacing the light. I just don't want it to happen again, or for me to end up glowing like the ready brek kids.

Oh dear, not many replies on this one. Guess I'll have to play it by ear - I'll post again when I get the new light and plug it in (if I can)...
