Throw Away Your Televisions Why is it that characters in comedies are completely oblivious to the fact that everybody around them either cracks a joke every 20 seconds or gets into a whacky situation with hilarious consequences? Or is it that comedy shows are more like reality TV, except real life doesn't have an audience (or recording) full of people laughing every time something supposedly amusing happens, so we don't actually notice how funny our every day lives are?
