Installing all that crap is just the beginning....you must update the databases for each of them. (pain)

I run Norton Antivirus. THAT IS ALL. I keep Windows updated and Norton database also updated,....I have not had virus in 2 years. I downdoad a ton of stuff (bit torrent and the like) and am always clean.
I do keep ALL my programs updated all daily. and I don't actually have all those programs on my computer at once, those are just the ones I've tried. I have 9 protective programs as it is.

but norton is a dreadfully poor program for getting viruses, at least get ewido on top. I'm sure you haven't had any noticeable virus attacks, but if norton is all you've touched then at least try a couple like www.trendmicro.com free online scan and adaware and you'll probably find some spy/adware that just sits quietly in the background.

as for hackers, I was under the impression that they need a trojan in your system to work with, sort of as a remote control. I may be wrong however, not having hacked anybody's computer.
