Rezinator - How sure are you that leaf tip is light burns? Most of the light burn I have ever experienced or seen the leaf tips look different. They are white to light brown from burning, the internal temperature fries the leaf and the color turns more of a lighter color. Fungus mold is black or dark colored and I would guess that is more the case then light burn. Don't you monitor the temperature at the top of your canopy anyway? (like you should be)

Here is what I know to be both lamp burn....it started off as dark falling leafs on a main leaf set.

I saw this on your sog grow pics HD. This looks like light burn too. In fact looks just like Zandor suggested. Lighter colored.

Busy day - but back - and whoa - you guys -

Yesssss I am gonna need some good guidance on the plants health now.

First though - just as a frame of reference - a little of what is going on production-wise here:
    Also first:
Be advised plant feels like she could take a watering tomorrow. It was probably a mistake but in the 5gal I put in about 5 inches of lava rock and granite chunks. My highest 3/4" holes are about that height - can only get my finger into about 4 of them - have dampness there - holes are hollowed out so lacking a moisture meter ($$$???), But let me get back to this issue below. Or jump to Watering and Ferts, below if you don't have time for this level of TMI (too much info).

    ................................................

I've got several newbie induced issues to deal with under a relatively conservative budget. Relative to, well, youz guys bugetsezz, mostly.

But if you can bear with me, seems I do have a barrage things comin at me at once on this. So prioritizing's a bitch, and I know I could make a bad move if I do not give you all enough info to work with for me if you would all just make your best arguments to each other here. Please be my guests.
    .................................................

    Today:
Vented left side panel for intake air and glued up a light trap. Pics later maybe. Also mounted up the ductwork from the ceiling. Will go - stage left - into an old corrugated box stacked atop other empty boxes.

    Re: Temps, Zandor:
I will begin monitoring temps in earnest soon as other box panels are left on any length of time. She may have had one or two days down here this summ when it got over 85. Maybe a week of days at 80-85.
Rest of time it was no more than 76.

Don??t mean to underplay temps, but Marc and I were discussing Nitrogen which this plant (okay let??s name her - Jane - how original - yeah well if there??s already a Jane in the registry, lemme know. ) --- Jane never got N during veg. We were also agreeing Jane??s orginal 2 gal (had her targeted for outdoors then) plastic container pot only got about half the Perlite it should have been given.

So... Me, I??m thinkin?? long term oxygen deficiencies among other things - toasted root tips. And sure - never having had Nitrogen during veg?? Don??t think it can be factored out.
    ..................................................

If you guys have books besides the Cervantes try, books that have photos instead of illustrations of leaves/ deficiences, plus a RELIABLy corrosponding set of legends keyed to various deficiencies please please please give this your best analysis.
Will try to provide info here that i expect would help you diagnose these things.

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Now...

Be advised I have leaves that look like BOTH what Harddon and Marc just put up.

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far in her life Jane has had only 2 nutrient feedings. And this has been a product called Vigoro(tm) ??Root Stimulator?. Please don??t laugh. Stuff probably sucks (imbalanced and inorganic) but I got it over the counter. (Still hating idea of anything related to this getting shipped here. And no. I don??t happen to have well trusted straight friends who??d do sommersaults at the prospect of implicating themselves. Who is the genius who dreamed up that solution... lol.)

May, may that is, attempt a Western Union - UPS pickup deal - still - even those fucks have my name in their wizbang, self-serv sys now. Phone number gives me away. Don??t have a cell these days. Need Superthrive. Bat Guano, VitB1,

[Fuck - note to myself to go cut some willow branches - make stew tea for soaking clones. Also to also get 4 hot peppers - to make up recipe for pepper spray.]

Anyway -- Jane could take a feeding tomorrow or the next day. Question. When you guys didn??t do hydro or own moisture meters, and please imagine common white 5gal pail, did you or do you go more by how the leaves look, or by how dry or damp the soil -- is. I??d say I had a fairly dry dampness goin on - top two inches and at top of drainage rocks.

??? Nitrogen ??? Will be in 12/12 in less than 36 hours from now.

Jane??s only ever 2 feedings were gentle intro half strength Vigoro which is 2-5-2. w/vitB1.

Unless advised otherwise, Jane will get a full strength Schultz Cactus Plus (2-7-7) tomorrow morning and her first 12 hour night will commence at 7:00pm.

She has not been well nourished but she??s clean. No worries on nute burn nor salts and lockup.

If I was to buy one of the exotic west coast products which do you guys think would be the best blooming nute thing to really pump her with.

Will be taking the clones shortly before buttoning everything up. Thermometer will go right on along in there, you bet, Z. tks.

Somebody let me know if I should call this my log? or should I start a new thread about noise supression plans?

And Definitely please answer at least this one question.

When I give her the first feeding of Schultz tomorrow, I have the option of adding some Peters 20-20-20 at some dosage or another.

I really do think my lights should individually hung now - Harddon, how much did your long CFL??s go for. Am devising a way so they will stay hang, but be balanced horizontally.

Also have a hood half made. It was going to attach to the light frame. Arc, Batwing, wasn??t sure. Hanging bulbs, hmmm. See. I??m tossing that against making the hour run to the modest nearby wannabee metropolis for some top shelf nutes.

    See what I mean??

Funny part is I misfiled (okay, fucking lost) the instructions to the damned GE timer and have to start a freaking thread just to see if anybody DIDN??T throw out the paper they put the full instructions on -- the freaking packaging naturally, so, as for GE, who make freaking jet engines (and every other gd thing) in their spare time... you think you??re gonna find oem timer documentation on their website?? Go ahead. Try. Just don't bill your time to moi, k?
