oh man, I got some seeds from them only a couple weeks ago, and the guy who runs it handed out thousands of free seeds at those high times conventions or whatever they're called

These are seed banks. Ok "seed Bank" a business that gathers seeds from "seed houses" or seed creators to sell to punters (consumers).

The site says the partners are having problems with each other. There will now be one carrying on, or several new ones popping up. Life goes on as do seeds.
