    some advice from the experts!!

Im having an awful time time to get my babies to come out of ther home. What to do! Ive tried every method, and now I'm running out of seeds. Ive tried 24 hrs of water then wet towel in tupperware bowl. nothing, 1/4" soil moist around 75-80degrees, straight planted in the grow medium, 2litre bottle. I dont know what im doing wrong. I also have read something about the water. Im assuming ro means reverse osmosis, could be wrong, but have never seen this on the label of any water where I'm at. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Your seeds must be bad.

Its not the water. Its the seeds.

You want the hardest, darkest seeds you have. Smash them between fingers...if they stay hard, they're good...unless from a mold environment.

    They will sprout everytime.

    Almost.

funny you say about the mold. A few of the seeds did look like there was mold on them while i was doing the napkin germ. It was not that the naps were soaking wet, just after about 36hrs, color of seed started to change. Just ordered some new ones hopefully I dont get jipped again.

Many mold infected seeds turn dark black when you try to germ them. Fucking seeds dealers who sell these shitty seeds when they know the buds were molded piss me off.

    some advice from the experts!!

well i did have 2 sprouts on my soil germination. Yay. I do have a quick question. how do i know how much water to feed my little sprouts. and when should i add nutes. babies are 2 day old sprouts! Oh yea, this is a indoor cabinet grow. Nothing like hd's but, just got clearance from the mrs's to tinker a little. Hopefully if i can grow a pretty nice plant, so she wont mind as much when i go alittle more crazy. Right now I have a 36"X24"X48" cabinet, mylar, fan, 2 200w cfl's, waiting on next paycheck to get a 400w mh. can you think of anything that I am missing right now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know its a bother for you hd, or zandor, to answer newbie questions, but literally cant measure by weight, cant really tell the difference if water is needed. also i try to stick my finger and see if soil is clumping, but how far should i poke my finger. Should i just go out and buy the soil moisture meter?? Thank you kindly!!

    Craz.....

You need to learn on your own judgement about the water. Those moisture meters, unless they are the good electronic kind, suck dick.

    Dont waste your money.

Ideally, you want the soil to be dry a couple of inches deep. But this is a seedling so make sure you keep her moist for the first week at least.

Some water dripped right down by her stem and root should be good.

Without pics, it will be difficult to give you anything other than general advice.

Why would you buy a MH? I would get a digital camera first

But seriously, if you have a couple of 200W CFL's, an MH wont do shit compared to those for a while.

Keep the CFLs for now. NO nutes till at least 3 weeks.

Very important is 6.8 pH adjusted water right now.

If the Mrs. smokes with you, get her a good strain and she'll be joining you in the grow

lol lets hope so. I do have a digi camera but it sux, only 2.0mp, it seems to only focus on the light. I assure you the rest of the cabinet does not look that dark in person. And I shouldn't go for a full water tday, just around the stem right?? Hopefully these pics do some justice! Thnx for the hlp hd

Looks good. But do I see two plants in the same container????

I would just water her once a day for the next few days.... about a half a cup right done by her stem. The lights that close are really good. They will dry the soil out faster as well.

Next time plant the soil surface so its higher...it is sitting really deep in that pot and that can allow heat to remain below the horizontal surface and just swirl hot air around.

Also at this age, its good to have the plant itself in the wind to build a bigger stem. Sitting that low in the pot may prevent her from getting a bit of wind....if so, angle the fan downwards just a bit.

    Looks real good so far.

Oh...the pot you have her in....is it plastic or ceramic or clay?

Its ceramic, I was going to transplant into 2 litres, wanted to wait till she was rooted a little better. Yea that second one came out of nowhere. i moved the soil around a bit checking for germinated seeds and next thing you know she popped her head out of the soil. when do you think they will be ready for transplnt??
p.s. fan has been tilted to get more air under the rim. wll take updated pics tomm. Thnx for the help hd!!
