Sleeping with an Ex?
Got a question.. I'm a 20 year old female.. me and my boyfriend (my first) broke up a few weeks ago and although I'm glad we broke up (it was mutual) I still want to sleep with him once in awhile.. kind of like friends with benefits. Especially after parties and such, when we're both hammered and horny. I know all you guys out there will say: "any guy would go for that" but I'm really nervous he will laugh in my face or something if I brought it up.
So is it a good idea? And if so, how the fuck do I bring that up?WhosGotTheHerb Reviewed by WhosGotTheHerb on . Sleeping with an Ex? Got a question.. Hehe, to be young again. :P
I can tell you from experience, that this won't work. I mean, you can say lets fuck, and he'll say sure.. But then (and especially because you haven't been apart very long) you're back together. Period. Even if you do a lot of upfront crap about how this is just physical, having sex with people kicks in hormones in your brain that make it more than physical. Especially if it's an ex.
I'd say that you should find a new guy if you want to stay broken up, lord knows, there's no shortage of guys out there that wouldn't mind some casual sex.

You should always wait at least two months before having sex with an "EX" or it could accidently turn into another relationship that has already died once.
That being said...
If the relationship ended on a good note for both parties and neither of you are involved in another relationship where someone might be hurt, this is all fine and good. This moves him from EX status to a FB (FuckBuddy) Not to be confused with a PF (PityFuck).
The difference between a FB and a PF is that you can call or be called by a FB for a few hours of hot sweaty sex. You never call a PF and if they call you, you screen their call until they start to sound pitiful.. then you give them a quick bump and run...
In all honesty do you really want to keep having sex with him because it was that good, or because you already know what he likes and it is easier than the work involved in finding someone new? You are apart for a reason, consider it before turning him into a FB. I'm sure there are plenty of men out there that will step up to the plate, keep looking for that perfect fit.
If he's that good in bed.. give him a FB coupon for a future fuck... he might laugh, but he might cash it in.

its mostly true achra, but that would happen if they would never have been together, in a couple. now if they broke its coz they saw they werent ok together. i mean yes they could get back together, but if they have no more feelings each others i think it could be ok.
its at her risks, but deep inside her maybe she knows if she would get back with him

I like Psycho's answer.
It sounds the most realistic to me out of all this.

I better get my eyes fixed...I thought you were sleeping with FedEx. Don't sleep with your ex, it's stupid if you think about it, it will waist your time. Unless you like wasting time on him, then maybe you like him more than you think.

Sleeping with an Ex?
Thanks for all the feedback, guys. For those curious, here's a little more background: we only dated a few months, and it was right before summer. so we were in different cities and only saw each other a few times. we sucked at communicating with each other.. we just didn't mesh well. so when it came time to come back to campus for school, we both wanted to end it. we ended on excellent terms and see each other all the time since we hang out with the same people.. we're still friends, more like acquaintences. also, the sex wasn't even that great, but sex is sex, just like weed is weed. since i'm not really that anxious to go out there and meet more guys, i figured if he was still single, why not start a casual friends with benefits thing? i trust him and know him.. it's just be convenience. but now that i think about it.. he could have easily have moved on already or not be into that idea. i don't know if i'll do it.. i'd have to be really drunk and really horny. my plan is to bring it up while drunk and if it doesn't fly, to just say "sorry, I was really wasted. i barely remember." heh.. thanks guys.

i'm go with the crowd and say don't do it. whether or not it starts off as sex, doesn't mean it will end that way. guys are for the most part stupid and don't seem to understand such things (regaurdless of what most that have been in this situation think) jealousy will more than likely come into play when he finds out when you are doing someone else. he then will more than likely (if not at the time having more feelings than just wanting to fuck) will see the guy (or girl as the case may be) taking what you give him and that will start the fan for the shit to hit. it only gets worse the more drunk a person is, (i can sit here all day and put up with the most annoying shit in the world, what would make some strangle the person and not even get so much as pissed, but when i'm drunk i can blow up over nothing) and if he's the jealous type or has a short temper it will get 10x worse. all in all, it's almost a sure thing this won't turn out in the end (when you do get a new relationship) to be a fuck-buddy, rather some jealous male ready to kill another man for touching 'his woman'
