hey all, this, being my first grow obviously wasnt going to go perfectly, so im sad to say that around day 6 or 7 i moved the young seedling too close to the lamps and burnt it's first true leaves not to mention the tips of its tiny little secondaries that had been forming.. andyway all is going well its as bright and healty green as ever the nodes are looking nice and evenly spaced and the leaves are starting to grow much faster lately (i think i shocked the little fella by clippin its burnt ones).. oh and does anyone know what those little prickly/leave (i dont know) things in between the nodes are? feedback much appreaciated

Not sure what kind of light you have on them now. A couple fluros right above them would be plenty of light. MH OR HPS might be to much for them at this early stage.... Also get a fan blowing on those stems...strenghten them up and NO NUTES....just light and misting of water. I cant see any spots in the picture. Keep us updated

its under a 400w hps, bout a foot and a half from the bulb with temps around 77-78 faren, and a oscilated fan on high giving her stem some excercise.. which by the way has stayed at about and inch in height since day 3... i am now noticing the stem getting much stronger (like a matchstick between your fingers
) and the leaves flourishing at a much faster rate.. updates in a week, and oh, can someone tell me what those little thingys are between the nodes? check out the pic with the arrow and words, magnify it and you should see what im talking about

i think your talking about the first pic, that's the spot where i snipped one of its first leaves, which im not worried about.. nor am i worried about the little prickly things growin in between the nodes im just curious as to what they are.. zoom into the second pic and see if you can see what im talkin bout
