hind kush week 2

hey all, this, being my first grow obviously wasnt going to go perfectly, so im sad to say that around day 6 or 7 i moved the young seedling too close to the lamps and burnt it's first true leaves not to mention the tips of its tiny little secondaries that had been forming.. andyway all is going well its as bright and healty green as ever the nodes are looking nice and evenly spaced and the leaves are starting to grow much faster lately (i think i shocked the little fella by clippin its burnt ones).. oh and does anyone know what those little prickly/leave (i dont know) things in between the nodes are? feedback much appreaciated

One more ?....what is the purpose of the split disks on top of the soil. I think I know,,however,,,enlighten me.

Hello RastaKaze , don't worry about the things love, all weed plants have them (well all mine have), haven't got a clue what there called though
