i started rolling with a mat,

it's a good way to learn as u are using your hands in pretty much the same way as u would if the mat wasn't there,
i used it for about 2 years, i never smoked anywhere but at home, so never needed to roll "freehand",
i couldn't find it 1 day, so out of desperation i tried to roll without it, and guess what ? 100% perfect 1st freehand spliff
