It's been dry around here like never before. I wish I had some weed. I feel a compulsion coming on.

As with anything you enjoy using, stoping it becomes very hard.. I dont think anyone gets hooked on weed; as drugy does on crack.. But you can be hooked on eating a fav. snack and go mental if you cant get it, because your system is pushing you to continue... Nonetheless i know what you mean, i cant find anye for last 2 days and im going loco...

I think its sad that some people need weed to be happy. I'm not judging anyone who is addicted, because I probably am myself to a certian extent, but making weed your top priority over everything else doesnt seem healthy to me. I smoke a lot of pot still, but have cut down because I dont want to have to depend on pot to help me normally function throughout the day.

As for the psychological/physical addiction part, as I've made known to ghostoker and others, in my opinion, when you have withdrawal symptoms from weed like nausea, insomnia, irritability, headaches, it is partly a physical addiction. this seems just logical to me that when you bombard your body with a substance for prolonged periods of time, then deprive it of that substance, your body will react in a negative way. And my body does, and I know other people have physical reactions when they stop taking pot, even though they may not be necesarily thinking about pot when they have these reactions.

As is the case with cigarettes, your body communicates with your mind that you need the drug by producing a craving. I think that with pot it tells you by not letting you get sleep, making you think about it, etc Its more subtle, but I think it works the same way. and yes, some people dont get addicted physically or psychologically to pot, but some people dont get addicted to cigs either after smoking a pack a day. I would just cut back if you feel you need weed all the time.

I couldn't sleep last night because it's the 1st time going to bed in a long time not stoned. What a bummer. It's a shame it has a hold over me like that

your username is the name of my pipe...cool. back to the subject - i've gone weeks upon weeks without smoking and it's kind of weird, but i think i've reached a new level. i'm not all burnt out when i'm high anymore, i can actually communicate well, i actually want to communicate. the only problem is i get clumsy, but shit, let's face it - i'm clumsy when i'm not high. there are times where i think to myself, "man, i want to be ripped right now", but immediately after i realize i'm dry it's okay again. i'm not addicted to marijuana and i'm proud to be able to say that. don't get me wrong, i love being high.

I have no weed, won't be getting any weed for at least a month. It sucks, but i'm not craving it. Instead i'm just thinking "Hmmm.. I wish I had some weed". That, to me, is a psychological addiction.

Goddam, I haven't smoked a cigarette since Saturday night, either. That's five whole days of not smoking about 20 a day! That's a hundred ciggies I haven't smoked! Argh! I'm definately craving them! lol
