When were you in Beijing Amsterdam? I was there back in '96 but I'm sure there's been enormous change since then. I'd love to get back up there but all my recent trips bring me to Southern China. Kinda sucks, there's so many places I'd love to go but I always end up getting stuck at the in-laws

Anyhow, if you think the party scene was good in Beijing you need to head down to Shanghai. Totally different atmosphere in Shanghai, more anything goes and less political. Kind of like New York City vs D.C.
