Or whatever agenda best serves the wishes of the oil industry, your pocketbook and your various corporate sponsors. (Is it any coincidence that Halliburton is the one profiting most from this war? You'd have to be pretty naïve to say that it is.)

But what if 62 million people don't vote for you? What if, in fact, most people vote against you?

Didn't stop W. in 2001, when he pushed through most of his agenda.

Also remember, Hitler also enacted his agenda after a majority of the German people democratically elected him into power. Just because the masses have been deceived into believing something is a good idea, certainly does not make it a good idea.

I guess Karl Rove figured there was no way spin this as anything but a major fuck up.
\"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will, within limits drawn by the equal rights of others. I do not add \"within the limits of the law\', because law if often but the tyrant\'s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.\"-Thomas Jefferson.

Actually, you aren't that far off. I read a poll recently - if I could find it again, I would reference it - where something like 40% of those who voted for W. thought his stance on the issues were the opposite of what they really are.
