Also remember, Hitler also enacted his agenda after a majority of the German people democratically elected him into power. Just because the masses have been deceived into believing something is a good idea, certainly does not make it a good idea.

Actually, you aren't that far off. I read a poll recently - if I could find it again, I would reference it - where something like 40% of those who voted for W. thought his stance on the issues were the opposite of what they really are.
