not to mention the fact that the relief effort was faster and more efficent than the last 7 hurricanes that struck the United States including Andrew wich the national gaurd took 5 and a half days to react.

Right after 9-11 I heard guesses that there could be 50,000 dead, based on how many people worked in the towers. Thank God the casuallties from both were less than first feared, but that hardly excusses the failures

MSMs, as you like to call it, just reported what the mayor and governor were saying. It was the mayor that said there might thousands of dead people. As it turns out, it might not thousands, but rather just one thousand... And that's still waaaaaay too much.
