At temperatures below 58f the plant will slow down the growth process to a point that is you keep temperatures that low for more then a few day's the plant can die from not moving enough nutrients around inside the plant to keep it alive. What food the plant is surviving on is to cold and thick it does not move around to the parts of the plant that need it.

Temperatures above 88f for extended periods can turn a female plant into a hermie plant. Above 90f the plant will transpire to much and you will have more of an odor problem then you would like to have.

You are looking to keep it between 68f & 70f over a 24 hour period.
