There is, admittedly, a small and growing threat of terrorism (growing thanks to Bush's own violence overseas; as Gandhi put it, "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind"), but most of these threats will never come to fruition. The chances that you're personally going to be affected by terrorism are very very very slim compared to other, much more serious problems our society is facing. Car crashes, for one. You're much more likely to be killed in a car crash than some terrorist; why is there no War on the Inefficient Deadly Transportation System? Global warming, too. That's something that's going to affect everybody in a very significant way within our lifetimes if we don't do something really serious about it now. Why is there no War on Global Warming?

And the nuclear arsenal of the world's governments, too. That is BY FAR the biggest terrorist threat this world faces at the moment. How many times in history have we almost come to the brink of total annihilation because of these weapons of mass destruction (produced and stockpiled by the hypocritical US government, among others)? Do you realize the immense threat these things pose to human civilization? Don't think they're just going to sit in the silos forever. As world oil supplies dwindle, and as the world gets more and more paranoid as it is doing now, you can be sure that more war is on the horizon. And eventually that war will become nuclear, and horrors unknown in all of man's history will come about, if we don't do something serious about it now. Top Chinese generals have stated that if the US comes to Taiwan's aid if/when the PRC decides to assert its claim over the island, nukes will rain upon American cities. Do you think the US is going to let the PRC have Taiwan without a fight? Do you think that the Chinese are bluffing about the nuclear threats? Do you think the Taiwan situation can be handled peacefully? Are you willing to bet your life on the answer to those questions?

My point is, there's a lot more serious things to worry about than the fears the government is trying to stir up in you to get you to follow its policies, but they don't want you to know about those things because they're behind them.

Somehow I managed to miss this while I was watching NFL all day? Yikes haha. I guess this is a problem if you live in a city like LA. If I had a house in the middle of the woods where I could smoke all day and never see a soul, I bet I wouldn't get any terror threats.
