how do I block websites?
Just edit your host file to redirect you to 127.0.0.1 when you you type in that url. It's kind of a dirty way of doing things but it works
In windows the host file is located C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc there it's called hosts.
Omun Reviewed by Omun on . how do I block websites? I was wondering if anybody can tell me how to block websites from being opened. I went into internet options, and added the domain name into "restricted sites", yet when I test-typed it in, the site still came up no problem. I also put the site name into "privacy, sites, block" in the internet options, but same problem. the only time I ever managed to do it before I actually had to set some setting where you must type in a user name and password every single time I went in to a site, which of Rating: 5
