    Eliminating heavy outdoor odors....

    Hi fellow growers,

I was having a problem with my skunks smelling and permeating the 'hood. A simple solution to that problem was a visit to the local dollar store. They sell one dollar 32-ounce bottles of liquid potpourri in various scents. They also sell airwicks two to a package for a buck.

I grabbed up a ton of them and regularly pour the liquid in a bucket and let evaporation do the work. Putting several airwicks (gel) around the perimeter also helped. I bought matching scents (lavender) and also planted some lavender in my garden. It works great and the skunk is disseminated enough to be undetectable. Visit your local dollar store and think outside the box, get creative, it could save you a jail term.

Using the coffee grounds from Starbucks helps too, I have a coffee bean smell eminating from my yard. Cocoa shells are available from some garden stores that will also accomplish this task quite effectively. Cocoa shells are the husks remove from the chocolate seeds.

Why you say? About mid-July, when things were really starting to kick in, I was chatting with my next door neighbor and she mentioned to me she thought she could smell pot, but didn't know from where. Panic ensued and I had to come up with something fast or risk pulling the first grow.

No problems since that conversation...and the first grow is coming along.

    Hope this helps.

    Peace,

    Chi
