Why would her making a remark like that surprise you? She is after all a left-winger and since jews hold disproportionate economic power they are attacked by the left as are WASPS or any other easily identifiable group holding a disproportionate amount of power.
On the other hand some on the right also make remarks that could be construed as anti-semetic or imply the presence of anti-semetic thought. A common stance of the paleos is that we should cease supporting Isreal to the extent that we do now, which is a position I tend to agree with, being a paleo-libertarian.(or a bit to the left of conventional survivalist ideology on the moral political compass) Anyway, though some might want to cease supporting Isreal because it's inhabited by jews, many paleos want to cease supporting Isreal because of some of the extra hostile attention we seem to receive for doing so. Not to mention the fact that support = resources/money which should be used to facilitate economic prosperity for Americans.(including the jews living in America)

Well, the guy wasn't Jewish. Hillary was just using the word "Jew" as an insult. I'm not so much offended by the insult as the fact that Hillary considers it as one.

Yeah. I agree that an insult is only an insult if you let it insult you, but the problem is usually that the person using it believes that it's an insult. That's what's so.... insulting.
