    Alive after hurricane Katrina

A big hello from the swamps of Louisiana to all my friends here. After 2 weeks with out power we got our lights on today, YEAH!!!. We left louisiana and went to mississippi and had 75 mph winds there. We came home monday after the storm to devistation and destruction that i could never of imagined. Oak trees 2 feet in diameter were snaped like tooth picks. The roof of our place is damaged, good it only leaks when it rains , lol. our ceilings have 1-2 foot droops in them. FEMA, and the federal gov. did NOTHING for 5 days, no food , no water,no help what-so-ever!!! The local churchs and neighbors were the only thing keeping people alive!!! Driving around here brings tears to my eyes. If our government can drop food, water and medical supplies , the next day after the tsunamie , Why not here???
we had 115 mph winds with gusts to 155
I just thank god we are alive as is all of rita's family here.
On top of everything i find out i have cancer, i am getting treatments before the surgery route. Will it ever end?
I lost my indoor garden and my outdoor garden totally.
So on top of it all i have no smokables and none available in the near future.
thank you all for you prayers and concerns
    peace
    heart
ps, i'll have some pics as soon as i'm able to get them on my comp, you'll be amazed at them.

The main thing is you survived ~Heart~ I'll keep you in my prayers in your trying times ahead . It's ashamed too that the Gov't was dragging their feet again even in its own Countrys time of need. Lazy Fed Gov't workers too I 've had to deal w/ them too .Take it easy & the smoke always seems to find one in need
