Why are most people so negative about pot?

Alright, im really drunk and hight but i want my thoughts out on this. See, The reason i smoke weed because when i do, it takes me away and makes me a happy person from all of my shit i gotta deal with. Everyone who is against weed sees it as a bad thing because supposvely it kills brain cells and is bad for your health, but what i thinnk people smoke is for fun, i mean right guys? Im sure everyone has a grand old time when they smoke, i sure as hell do when i smoke with my friends, but others see it as just like its bad for you and illegal, Im sure if these fucks actually smoked they would understand, BUT THEY DONT, THEY'RE MISSING OUT, THEIR LOSS!

its because the goverment advertises these crackheads who are dying with a joint in their hands...many people use pot to take the edge off of harder drugs they are addicted to...

recently a scandinavian country (forgot which one) has legalized all drugs...the only one that went up in use is heroin...people are going to do it either way...

bud is NOT for everyone, but many people can lead much happier lives with it, shrooms too...the legalization of pot would lower the cost of high-quality bud, which takes less smoke to get high, and therefor less cancer...

i wonder why other countries have all the great artists???

another reason i believe that the goverment hates it is because if they release to the public that its not that evil kill taht will make you brain-dead, then they will also show that they spent trillions on the war on drugs, and they werent even fighting what was bad...they see it as a gateway drug, but in fact, many people go from being a good, happily married couple in the rich part of town...then try meth or something, bud is not the gateway drug...

When I was young I smoked to get stoned, now I smoke to ease the aches and pains of different ailments. The feds don't want it legal, because the drug companies can't put a patent on a plant. It all goes back to the Hearst family back in the early 1900's who was invested in paper mills that used trees for fiber. Hemp was cheaper and more renewable but to no avail. That is my two cents worth.

I wouldn't say they are ignorant.

I'd say they are ignorant of the Cannibus Movement, but, in general, that's pretty harsh to call a 45 year old man, who helps out in the homeless shelter, ignorant.

If you're ignorant about anything, you are ignorant... anyone can be ignorant... everyone in the world is ignorant about something, it's part of our human nature.

I understand what you mean, but some people, who are out there, have no room in their lives to worry about pot, because they're so ignorant that they are feeding the homeless. I still wouldn't call someone ignorant, just un-educated about pot.

Which I know kind of means the same thing. But ignorant people should be seperated from those who are unaware that they are ignorant.

I was just in another forum I used to go to, and there was a post about some old lady being arrested for having a pot plant. I *gasp* said "maybe we should leave people the fuck alone for preferring a toke to a drink", and i just love how I got the instant retort "you idiot, they're doing something illegal. are you saying when somebody is purposely braking the law we should just let them go? that people can just break the law and get away with it? wow you're fucking stupid" . that really pissed me off, not because of the personal attack, but because it made me realize how so many people are convinced of the "infallable" logic that if it's illegal it's wrong. no wonder society has so much trouble evolving.
