I mean c'mon!!! why are most people act so badly againts weed anyways...pot does have its obvious medical side to it but why do people hate it...could it be just they way how they were brought up...how the goverment brained wahsed them saying as soon as you touch pot you become somthing like a cuban druglord?! or could it simply their bad experiences with pot so they force their kids to like...never touch drugs...or you'll DIE!!! anyone got any views on this? Some people react bad about weed because they are uneducated about it. Most of them have never had a first hand experience using it for medical, spiritual, or social atmosphere. They believe what the TV or media tells them too, and so many people have trust in the government(s) and figure they can trust them. So untrue. Government(s) are filthy liars and will say anything to get their way, because they have the power.

I wouldn't say they are ignorant.

I'd say they are ignorant of the Cannibus Movement, but, in general, that's pretty harsh to call a 45 year old man, who helps out in the homeless shelter, ignorant.

We just have to teach.

A few years ago, my teacher for a rehabilitation class said he knew a lot about weed. I was in there for a DUI.
On break, I talked to him and he told me to expect, within the next ten years, Europe and the U.S. to reveal it's studies.
He told me a lot of shit, but the main thing was...

Alright, im really drunk and hight but i want my thoughts out on this. See, The reason i smoke weed because when i do, it takes me away and makes me a happy person from all of my shit i gotta deal with. Everyone who is against weed sees it as a bad thing because supposvely it kills brain cells and is bad for your health, but what i thinnk people smoke is for fun, i mean right guys? Im sure everyone has a grand old time when they smoke, i sure as hell do when i smoke with my friends, but others see it as just like its bad for you and illegal, Im sure if these fucks actually smoked they would understand, BUT THEY DONT, THEY'RE MISSING OUT, THEIR LOSS!

The majority of people believe bad things about pot simply because the majority of people say bad things about pot. The vast majority of things you hear about pot in public are negative, and without any direct experience with it people are likely to believe them. For most people it's inconceivable that the government and the education system would so adamantly propagate an idea that just isn't true. Then when they hear somebody touting the scientific evidence that pot is a relatively harmless drug, they will dismiss them as just a deluded drug addict and won't take anything seriously.

The reason it's so hard to challenge the prevailing ideas effectively is that to most people our ideas are really outlandish, since they are in direct opposition to everything they've been taught throughout their lives by teachers, policemen, parents, legislators and the press. To that person, you look like just another crackpot until you provide enough evidence that your claim is correct. In order to maintain your position you have to refute lots and lots of popular myths about pot, and you have to bring up a lot of complex information about human biology, brain chemistry, sociology, criminal punishment, etc. And to top it off you have to explain how we got to a point where almost everybody believes those myths. Most people simply don't have the time or motivation to listen to somebody explain all this stuff. And even if they did, where would they get it from? The mainstream media aren't going to distribute this information to the public, because they don't get any money out of it. The media don't care about truth and objectivity, they are corporations and are ultimately concerned only with profit. And outside the media, well, how many of us are really going out and confronting people with this information?

Most motheruckers only have half a brain, and cant think for them selfs. They just believe all the bull that the Goverment spreed about "Drugs" becuase they cant make there own minds up. People need to experience....
