what paint to use?

hey i wanna repaint my cupboard and last time i used undercoat (primer)
but i cant remeber if it should be oil or water based ? can someone plz help!

Well odds are most primers are water based. So there, it was prolly water based primer.

you can have oil or water based primers.. obviously if you use a water based primer and then try to use a oil based paint, you'll have a problem. ... personally for a grow box, i'd always use water based anything.. those fumes from oil based paint can be pretty bad sometimes.. especially if it's a close cupboard
