Why is it when ever someone's team is #1, everyone automatically assumes the person is a front runner, like the team had no fans before they started doing good. The Pats were HORRIBLE for the longest time, so its good to see their fans finally getting something. I'm a New York fan, Yanks because my dad grew up watching the Mick, so I shared his passion for that team since I was 5, and no, the Yanks did not dominate in the 80's. Everyone seems to forget that the Yankees were HORRIBLE at the beginning of this season, and that it's taken them quite some time to pull out of the slump. It certainly doesn't help that their pitching staff is practically crippled right now, but they're getting some much needed help from those that other teams counted out. Aaron Small hadn't won a major league game for like 2-3 years, and right now he is UNDEFEATED as a Yankee starter. As for football, I'm way psyched. I love the Giants, but that love actually came before I even watched a pro football game. I remember Tecmo Bowl for the NES, and it was just too damn fun to use LT all the time of defense and sack the shit out of the quarterback. They look more promising this year, hopefully Shockey returns to his rookie year performance, and Plax might give them what they need for a deep threat. I remember ESPN did a list of the top 10 free agents this past year, and the Giants nabbed 3 of them. I'm just as excited about college football. Notre Dame has had too many disappointing seasons, but Darius Walker is looking like a damn stud, and Brady Quinn is one of the better passing quarterbacks in college today. Add that to the fact that Weis is at the helm, and he looked damn near perfect in the trouncing of higher ranked Pittsburg last week. Tomorrow is Michigan baby, and I'm predicting an upset just like last year!
